Lynne Lyons, MPH, RD, CDE is a health care professional with expertise in patient care, the medical industry, clinical program development and management, public speaking, and presentations. Working as a Clinical Science Manager for Abbott Diabetes Care, she has the opportunity to partner with the Diabetes Health Care Community in order to share relevant scientific research and clinically relevant information in the area of continuous glucose monitoring and diabetes technology, as well as, elicit recommendations and clinical observations that assist with the development of next generation products and services.
Over a 15 year period of clinical practice, Lynne has specialized in Diabetes and Pregnancy in the role of clinician, program manager, California State consultant, lecturer, and writer. She broadened her clinical horizons by working with multidisciplinary teams in pediatric and adult intensive diabetes management. Building on her passion for improving the lives of people with diabetes, Lynne joined TheraSense in May 2001, now Abbott Diabetes Care, to provide a clinical and patient perspective to the development, education, marketing, and sales of glucose monitoring devices.
