Dana Armstrong, RD, CDE and Jen M. Block, RN, CDE

Dana Armstrong, RD, CDE

Dana Armstrong received her degree in nutrition and dietetics from the University of California, Davis, and the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha. In private practice for over 23 years, she has developed an educational program that has benefited more than 6000 patients with diabetes. She is cofounder and program director of the Diabetes Care Center in Salinas, California. She specializes in the use of insulin pumps and continuous glucose sensing technology, as well as a patient-centered approach to diabetes treatment. She speaks nationally on these topics and has authored investigator-initiated studies in these areas as well. Having a child with diabetes, she combines her professional knowledge with personal experience and understanding.

Jen M. Block, RN, CDE

Jen M. Block has worked in diabetes care for the last 8 years working with patients living with type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes. She currently works as a diabetes educator and clinical research coordinator at Stanford University in the Department of Pediatric Endocrinology. Most recently she has worked on multi-center research studies on the use of continuous glucose monitors in patients with type 1 diabetes. She has published and spoken on diabetes care and the integration of diabetes technology into clinical practice. Her interest in diabetes and diabetes research stems from being personally diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
