Data on file, Abbott Diabetes Care Inc. Study results have not been evaluated by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The study concluded that while three systems met the accuracy standard currently used by FDA (ISO15157:2003), the accuracy results for the FreeStyle Precision Pro System were statistically significantly higher than the accuracy results for the Nova StatStrip and Roche Inform II system. Per ISO15197:2003, all comparisons were made by trained operators using fingertip samples for both test meters and the reference. 4. As of June 2017 among leading US hospital brands of blood glucose meters and test strips (Abbott, Roche, and Nova Biomedical). 5. Validated for 10,950 cleaning and disinfection cycles using Dispatch® Hospital Cleaner Disinfectant towels with Bleach (EPA 56392-8). 6. Data on file, Abbott Diabetes Care Inc. Analysis funded by Abbott Diabetes Care. Three open vials of Nova StatStrip test strips being used in a hospital were obtained and tested for the presence of bacteria. Six to seven strips per vial were tested by bioMerieux TEMPO Total Viable Counts method; 15 of the 19 strips tested (78.9%) showed bacterial growth. Ten strips from two new, unopened Nova StatStrip vials and 10 Precision Xceed Pro test strips in individual foil packets were also tested, and all gave negative results for bacteria. Bacterial analysis was performed in March 2012 by Microbe Inotech Laboratories, Inc., St. Louis, MO. Data on file at Microbe Inotech Laboratories, Report MILB-8486A. Results show contamination from one facility and are provided for informational purposes only. Contamination at other facilities will vary. 7. Precision Xceed Pro System test time is 20 seconds. 8.
